Video generated by Google Veo carries a visible mark, usually in a corner and usually static for the whole clip. Static is the good case: a mark that does not move can be located with high confidence and repaired consistently.
How to remove a Veo 3 watermark
- Open the tool and switch to the Videos tab.
- Select your MP4, WebM or MOV. It is read from your device, not uploaded.
- The mark's position is established across frames rather than guessed per frame.
- Let it run. This takes minutes, not seconds — see below.
- Download the cleaned video.
Why video is harder than images
A video is thousands of images with a memory. Repair each frame independently and each result differs slightly, because each frame's noise differs. Individually they all look fine; played back, the repaired patch shimmers. That boiling rectangle draws the eye straight to the spot you were hiding.
Avoiding it means treating the watermark's position as something that persists across the clip rather than something rediscovered every frame, and keeping the repair stable over time. It is the single biggest difference between a video tool and an image tool run in a loop.
Expect it to be slow
Ten seconds at 30fps is three hundred images to detect and repair, and it happens on your laptop rather than in a datacentre. That is the honest cost of the file never leaving your computer. Start it and go and do something else.
Re-encoding costs a little quality
Changing any frame means encoding the video again, and every lossy encode loses something. Work from the highest-quality export you have. Cleaning a clip that has already been through a messaging app means fighting compression artefacts as well as the watermark.
What it will not do
It does not remove invisible or embedded provenance signals, and it does not make generated footage undetectable as generated. It removes a visible mark from video you have the right to edit. Marks that move, animate or fade in and out are considerably harder than static ones, and the results are correspondingly worse.
